Retail Beer Releases (Week of 1/3)

A relatively slow beer week continues in the Denver area with only two new releases.  However, I've also added all the beers that came out during the two weeks I was on vacation.  One that you definitely won't want to miss is Flying Dog's new Raging Bitch Belgian IPA.  This special beer was brewed to celebrate the brewery's 20th Anniversary and features all the hops you'd expect from an American IPA, but with the addition of a Belgian yeast twist.  If you can't find a six pack in town, it's also currently available on tap at the Rackhouse Pub.

Also today, the Rock Bottom Brewery on 16th Street will be giving away FREE BEER from 6:00pm to 6:30pm to celebrate the release of their new Salamander Amber.  That's a price you can't beat and while you're there I recommend trying the oak aged Imperial Stout and Hop Bomb IPA.  Both were excellent the last time I was there.

  1. Hey there. This is Zak Davis from Shmaltz Brewing Company. Just wanted to clarify a bit. Actually, the Origin Pomegranate Ale isn't a seasonal, it's been available year-round since 1996. Our current seasonal is Jewbelation Bar Mitzvah and we'll be re-launching Coney Island Human Blockhead in just a couple weeks. Thanks so much for including us on the site. See you this weekend in Vail? I'll be there. ~Zak

  2. Sorry about that. I've corrected it above.

I won't be able to make it to Vail this weekend. Will you guys be at the Denver Winter Brew Fest later on this month?
